DESCRIPTION:There is no denying the healthcare community has grown by leaps and bounds in Renton. It's time to celebrate this growing sector of our community. The Renton Chamber of Commerce\, UW/Valley Medicine\, Kaiser Permanente and several  partners have joined together to honor the standout healthcare employees within these organizations.\n\n\n\nThe Ahead of the Care award program is a partnership between the Renton Chamber of Commerce and Renton's healthcare leaders. It is part of the Chamber's effort to highlight business sectors and individuals that make Renton a better community. The program's aim is to enhance awareness of the excellence of those that provide healthcare to our community.\n\n\n\nThe award ceremony will be a plated dinner with a wine selection and also a cash bar.\n\n \nPre-Plated at Table: Mixed Green Salad\, Candied Pecans\, Mozzarella w/honey Dijon\, Fresh sliced Baguettes and butter\n\nPlated Dinner: Thin sliced grilled flank steak w/ Demi & Grilled Soy-Lime Salmon\, Seasoned wild rice\, green beans with roasted carrots\n\nAssorted Desserts: Lemon Bar\, Brownies\, Coconut Dream & Chocolate Raspberry bar\n Each Table will have a bottle of white and a bottle of red that comes with price of admission.\n\n\n\nHOW IT WORKS \n\n\n\nRenton healthcare employees are nominated as difference makers from patients\, peers\, employers\, etc. Nominations are opened through the Chamber\, Renton Reporter\, and every channel available in the below eight categories.\n\n \nDoctors\n\nFirst Responders\n\nBehavioral Health\n\nAllied Health - Supportive Roles/Pharmacists/Anesthesiologist/Integral Support/Dentists\n\nHuman Services/Health\n\nNurses\n\nSenior Care Services\n\nHealthcare Support Services - Non Patient Interaction/Housekeeping/Security/Reception/IT\n\n\nAfter a short nomination period 3-5 individuals will be picked in each category. A selection committee of community professionals will interview the finalists. Next step is the ceremony. This year's event will be October 4th. The finalists are invited to an awards ceremony at Renton Pavilion Event Center.
