DESCRIPTION:"Washington Saves"\, Legislation passed in 2024\, House Bill 2244 and Senate Bill 6069\n\n\n\nPlease join us for a discussion on the Washington Saves Retirement Program and the obligation you will have as an employer when it goes into effect July 1\, 2027.  This requirement is mandated for all covered employers without the ability to opt out.\n\n\n\nRequires all covered employers to register through the state and enroll qualifying employees in a state run IRA.\n\n\n\nCovered Employers:\n\n* Businesses that have been in business for at least 2 years and maintain a physical location in Washington\n\n* Has 5 full-time equivalent employees (or 10\,400 hours worked annually)\n\n* Does not offer a qualified retirement plan to their covered employees who have had continuous employment for 1 year or more.\n\n\n\n\n\nFIND OUT OTHER OPTIONS\n\n\n\nThe Renton Chamber has partnered with Wealth Wave and Nationwide to offer alternatives to the states Individual Retirement Account legislation for employees.  Bengt Johnson\, Wealth Wave\, will discuss options available through the Renton Chamber and the benefits that come with it.
