DESCRIPTION:Birthdays Around the World\n\nCelebrating Diversity in our Community\n\n \n\nBirthday Dreams turns 5!\n\n \n\nTo celebrate\, we are throwing ourselves a birthday party! \n\n\n\nSaturday\, May 3rd : 11 am   1 pm\n\nat New Life Church\n\n15711 152nd Ave SE\, Renton\n\n \n\nJoin us as we explore how birthdays are celebrated elsewhere.\n\nBirthdays Around the World will offer the community an opportunity to learn about the traditions and customs of many different cultures.\n\n \n\nThere will be crafts\, games and pi atas filled with lots of goodies for the kids\, as well as some wonderful raffle gifts for the adults. \n\n  \n\nWe are inviting groups from different ethnic background to come and showcase how they celebrate birthdays in their culture. Would you like to be a part of this special event?\n\n \n\nAre there traditional dances/songs that are done at a birthday party or that generally represent your culture?\n\nAre there special foods that are served at celebrations?\n\nDoes your culture have any unique customs that are performed to celebrate a persons' special day?\n\n \n\nWe encourage you to showcase any foods and activities that represent how your culture.\n\n \n\nTo participate\, please contact Tammy White\, event chairperson:\n\n(425) 221-9698 / tammy@birthdaydreams.org\n\n  \n\nBirthday Dreams is a grassroots charity organization based in Renton\, Washington.  We provide birthday parties to children living in homeless situations in the Puget Sound.  In 2013\, we were awarded the Business Excellence Award from the Renton Chamber of Commerce for the Outstanding Nonprofit.
