DESCRIPTION:This committee is all things education. They promote the strengths and resources of the business community to develop\, encourage and build up the education community\, both staff and students in order to produce a strong workforce and well balanced community.\n\n\n\nThis week's guest speaker is Sarah Patterson.\n\n\n\n\n\nSarah Patterson joined the OSPI CTE team in January as the Skilled and Technical Sciences Program Supervisor. Prior to joining OSPI she was a tenured professor at South Puget Sound Community College\, where she taught welding\, metallurgy\, blue print reading\, and student success. She has nearly 17 years in the construction and welding industry\, in that time she has worked on four different continents. Sarah is certified in all major welding processes\, and holds multiple industry certifications\, including:  AWS CWI\; AWS CWE\; ICC\; ASNT and ASME. Sarah remains active on a variety of state and national industry advisory boards.\n\n\n\nChair - Dan Hammes - Embry Riddle Aeronautical University
