Previous positions with the City of Seattle?s Office of Arts & Culture\, ArtsFund\, and Seattle Art Museum have honed her strategy and policy development work to build teams\, systems and programs that support a more equitable\, thriving\, and sustainable community. She holds an English degree from Whitman College\, and serves on the Boards of YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish\, and the Rainier Valley Food Bank.\n\n \n\nNina Yarbrough (she/her/hers): Growing up in Ohio I learned to love the arts at a young age. I was fortunate to learn theatre performance from compassionate and patient teachers. Graduating with a B.A. in Theatre from Berea College\, a small liberal arts school in the middle of Kentucky\, finding my way to the Pacific Northwest wasn?t exactly on my bingo card. Arriving in Seattle in the fall of 2014 for the MFA in Arts Leadership program at Seattle University I was able to build relationships with incredible artists\, creatives\, and nonprofit leaders that were doing everything they could to make our region a vibrant place to live. Having worked for several theatre companies doing everything from running light boards and selling tickets\, to running public programs at the Cincinnati History Museum\, to managing a capital campaign for Seattle Opera\, my career has taken me to many wonderful and unexpected places. As the current Arts Program Director at 4Culture strive to build funding programs that will lead to more equitable funding outcomes for our county. I work with a brilliant team that is responsible for granting funds to King County?s best and brightest arts and cultural organizations.
