DESCRIPTION:Evergreen City Ballet (ECB)\, the premier ballet school on the Eastside\, is proud to present Copp lia\, a charming and humorous ballet for the whole family\, on May 3\, 4 and 5th at the Newport High School Performing Arts Center. Copp lia is a comic ballet about a mysterious toy maker\, Dr. Coppelius\, who creates a life-like doll named Copp lia and tries to bring her to life with magic. \n\n\n\nThe ballet features the talented students of ECB\, ranging from ages 8 to 18\, under the artistic direction of Maximiliano Guerra\, a former principal dancer the Royal Ballet of London and Artistic Director of the Teatro Colon. \n\n\n\nThe ballet also showcases the partnership with Newport High School Orchestra\, conducted by Barney Blough\, who will perform the delightful score by Leo Delibes live on stage. \n\n\n\nThis is a unique opportunity to see an all-student production of Copp lia\, with both dancers and musicians collaborating to create a memorable and entertaining experience for the audience.
