Derek Olsen- The 5 New Habits Leaders Need to Transform Their Organizations
The habits many leaders acquire in running successful companies in times of incremental market change are habits they don?t even realize they?ve gained. Those habits need to be brought to their attention. But even more important, they need to supplement those habits with new ones.
We are tasking leaders with the work of evolving legacy habits ? of moving beyond the old habits that served them well in less turbulent times. Leaders who want to help usher in fundamental and beneficial change to their organizations must cultivate five new habits, including how they engage people, where they seek advice, what larger ideals guide their choices and behaviors day-today, how they make and take action, and how they navigate the boundaries between work and personal life with new approaches.

The goal of education needs to shift to prepare for an unknown workforce by educating students to assess in multiple modalities, transfer learning outside of purely learning content, and knowing how to adapt various situations.
