Derek Olsen- The 5 New Habits Leaders Need to Transform Their Organizations

The habits many leaders acquire in running successful companies in times of incremental market change are habits they don?t even realize they?ve gained. Those habits need to be brought to their attention. But even more important, they need to supplement those habits with new ones.
We are tasking leaders with the work of evolving legacy habits ? of moving beyond the old habits that served them well in less turbulent times. Leaders who want to help usher in fundamental and beneficial change to their organizations must cultivate five new habits, including how they engage people, where they seek advice, what larger ideals guide their choices and behaviors day-today, how they make and take action, and how they navigate the boundaries between work and personal life with new approaches.

Bio: As a senior level facilitator and ICF certified coach at Henley Leadership Group, Derek has partnered with Fortune 500 companies to support leadership development for individuals, teams and groups. Having served over 1000 professionals in the past ten years, he challenges clients at all levels of leadership to achieve their best results, make their greatest contribution to the business and do so sustainably. His clients describe him as courageous, honest and direct. He challenges leaders and their teams to focus their authentic voice and implement ways of working that foster integrity and collaboration across the organization.

Michelle Zimmerman - Future Learning: Machine Learning's Impact on Tomorrow's Multimodal Workforce

Many of us only know of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning through pop culture and SciFi movies, although it's already all around us. The goal of education needs to shift to prepare for an unknown workforce by educating students to assess in multiple modalities, transfer learning outside of purely learning content, and knowing how to adapt various situations. We are leading the way in Renton on innovating in educational shifts necessary to be ready for the future and sharing our learning with the world.
