Day of Service

Join your neighbors for a Day of Service. Meet at the Renton Chamber of Commerce and join partners from the Renton Downtown Partnership to pick up the downtown core and help it to 'sparkle.' Volunteers should check in at 9am and then plan to attend the Celebration Picnic from 12p - 1p. We have limited pickers, gloves, vests and buckets available so it is suggested to bring your own equipment, if possible. ************************************************************* The City of Renton has selected September 8th as their day recognizing the Day of Service*. *The September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance was established by Congress in 2009 and culminated an effort started in 2002 by 9/11 family members and survivors. The day asks residents to give a day of service to their communities as a way of honoring and remembering victims and first responders of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
