Help us fill the truck for local food banks!
Together with the Renton Chamber of Commerce the City of Renton Recreation and Neighborhoods Division is asking the community to help “Fill the Truck” for our local area food bank. Drop off nonperishable, unopened food items at this drive-thru, contact-free event.
Friday, Sept. 4 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Renton Community Center (1715 Maple Valley Hwy)
National Food Bank Day is recognized the first Friday in September and encourages you to commit to contributing to the cause that believes no one should go to bed hungry. Hunger may be as close as your neighbor, a co-worker or a loved one. Bare cupboards and empty stomachs look just like yours behind closed doors.
Wanting to participate but will not be available on Friday, September 4? The Renton Chamber of Commerce will be accepting food donations along with monetary donations throughout the week (625 South 4th Street, Renton, 98057).
