PRESENTERS: ELLIE HE and LEE GIBBS
ELLIE HE: As an International Trade Business Advisor at Washington Small Business Development Center, Ellie participates as a working member of the Washington Export Outreach Team (WEOT), a collaborative team of local, state, regional, and federal export assistance agencies that helps Washington state companies sell internationally. Ellie's background includes marketing roles at small businesses as well as global business development roles at K&L Gates, an international law firm. She also previously worked in international education in China. Ellie received her MBA from Pennsylvania State University and her M.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Montana. She is bilingual in English and Chinese Mandarin.
LEE GIBBS: Lee Gibbs is the Export Finance Manager for the SBA Office of International Trade covering the Pacific Northwest area. He joined the SBA in January of 2016. Prior to that Lee had been with Zions bank for approximately 17 years utilizing the SBA International Finance Programs and helping the Bank to become the Export Lender of the year nationally at one point. Lee also received the SBA Export Financing Pioneer Award. He has over 40 years of experience in Agricultural, Commercial, and SBA lending and he has a strong understanding of the practical application and use of all the SBA Export Loan Programs. He works with both Banks and Small Businesses in helping them to understand and use the Government Guaranteed Loan Programs to grow their International Market Opportunities.
