Theatre is an instrument that develops our creative palette and aesthetics, public speaking and leadership skills, ability to adapt to individual and team needs, emotional adaptability and empathy and enables us to connect to our inner being through our emotional and physical self.
Theatre33 is offering acting classes in 12-week sessions and inviting middle school kids to explore the inner workings of a theater – acting, directing, costume design and make up, lights and sound.
Acting masterclasses are applicable to many aspects of life. Acting skills help us overcome many daily obstacles (shyness, complexes, emotional barriers), liberate our fears and insecurities, develop attention and focus, and enhance memory, creativity and imagination. Projection and articulation classes strengthen the skills to eloquently and effectively deliver speeches. Our lessons are lively and captivating – humor, games and interesting prompts and skits keep everyone engaged.
Majority of our students do not intent to pick acting as a career, however, our lessons definitely enrich our students’ interests and abilities. We meet twice per week in Theatre33 and/or online. Tuition is $450 for 12-week course, 10% sibling discount.
Theatre33 is a bilingual non-profit community theatre in Bellevue that was founded in 2013. Our mission is to stimulate, promote, and develop an interest in the dramatic arts, both for artists and audiences. We strive to provide quality live productions that speak to the hearts of the audience and evoke current social problems and eternal ethical questions.
