9:10am                Five Most Common Mistakes in Fundraising w/ James Plourde, JP Fundraising       
                              Solutions
With over 30 years working as a nonprofit fundraiser and consultant, James Plourde has        made his fair share of mistakes. He’s also witnessed certain mistakes that nonprofits seem to make over and over again, and has boiled them down to five that are the most     common.
James is Principal and Founder of JP Fundraising Solutions, a fundraising consulting firm based in Tacoma. He works with small and medium sized nonprofits getting ready to               embark on major fundraising initiatives (i.e. campaigns), and also does case writing,   volunteer training and development audits.
James will talk about how to avoid common pitfalls when it comes to identifying your                problem statement, positioning your donors, recruiting volunteers, using digital tools     and managing data.
