Educating Your Board & Public on Social Issues
Lynn will talk about work she's done with her board to educate them on the local effects of hunger, poverty, and mental illness. She'll also fill us in on one result of that education -- RCF's new community initiative to help our clients get transportation to reach services.
We'll open it up to group discussion afterward. How have you educated your board and public? What's worked? What other "walk-in-someone-else's-shoes" activities like the Food Stamp Challenge would you like to try in Renton?
