About Us

MISSION: To inspire conservation and protection of a healthy Cedar River Watershed through restoration, education and stewardship.

Friends of The Cedar River Watershed (FCRW) is the only community-based, nonprofit organization committed to the conservation and protection of the Cedar River Watershed, from its headwaters in the Cascade Mountains to its mouth in Puget Sound.

Our watershed provides clean drinking water for 1.4 million King County residents, and provides habitat to eight threatened species, including Chinook salmon.

Through innovative collaborations with municipalities, schools, individuals, and businesses we link the community to habitat restoration, salmon recovery and conservation education efforts to preserve this finite resource for future generations.
