About Us

Riverview Park encompasses 11-acres and was acquired in 1979 with Community Development Block Grant funds. It is now a vital part of the city's Cedar River Greenway System.

The Cedar River Greenway encompasses over 550 acres of developed and undeveloped parks, open space, trails, and the Maplewood Golf Course along the Cedar River.

A picnic shelter is nestled between the bank of the Cedar River and the Cedar River Trail. The shelter and park are accessed from the parking lot by crossing the new bridge over the Cedar River. A restroom is on-site, plus the shelter is equipped with running water, electricity and two barbecues.
