Thursday, February 8, 6:30 - 7:30 pm Decades ago, it was rare to see Black fashion designers who were women designing ready-to-wear clothing, red carpet fashion, and runway fashion. The fashion industry, like many industries in the United States is dominated by White designers. This lecture discusses modern day fashion designers who are Black women, their fashion style, and the celebrities they have styled during the 21st century.
