The Renton Chamber of Commerce launches a new series called Business Bullpen on Thursday June 27th 11:00-12:30pm. This series will continue every 4th Thursday of the month for the remainder of 2019.
This month we have Julie Shaw from HRVue.
Topic:
How to navigate your next salary increase and know your rights in the workplace.
Bio:
Julie is an accomplished HR Leader with more than 25 years of experience in industries ranging from broadcasting and non-profits to manufacturing, sales, and start-ups.
Born and raised in North Carolina, Julie is honest and transparent in speaking her mind, with a dose of southern charm. Don’t let her fool you – She brings a firm understanding of the HR. She can walk in to any company and quickly assess its HR needs.
Five years ago, Julie and her husband, Don, relocated to Seattle, where the Pacific Northwest is her home. The move has only broadened Julie’s work portfolio and strengthened her nationally and international HR knowledge. She works anywhere- and will travel to meet clients’ needs.
Julie has demonstrated tremendous success in recruiting the right employees for the right roles in the right time-frame. But her expertise extends beyond recruitment and high retention rates. Whether building your recruiting strategy to knowing HR employment law, she stays current on trends and topics that impact you or your workforce. Educating today’s workforce for today’s issues is not only critical. It is your responsibility.
